Inhumanoids

Now it's time to take another trip back to the past, recalling one of the strangest drawings of our childhood (if not the most), an animation that only SBT could bring to us (thank you Silvio Santos). That was one of my favorite drawings because of the monsters. Sure.
A group of scientists (the Earth Corps) discover three sleeping creatures deep within the Earth when they awaken and begin to touch terror, killing humans who struggle to survive while trying to maintain their normal lives.
The three creatures were the charm of the drawing (or disgust, it depends on who you watch), the creatures were: Metlar (a kind of lava-spitting demon); Tendril (a plant monster that regenerates after each attack) and D´compose (a dead, half-rotten monster that turns humans into zombies) - my favorite. I loved that zombie bug.
The team of scientists had to survive while facing two enemies: monsters and corrupt humans, who take advantage of the situation to profit and gain power.

Plot

What some may not know is that Inumanoids emerged as an animated feature, which had been transformed into the first five episodes of the
animation.
After the awakening of the creatures, Earth Corps seeks to discover their horizons, but the evil trio proves intelligent, destroying the human base.
Humans make an alliance with the Granites, a people of pedar, inhabitant of the deepest earth, under the control of D´compose. The covenant results in rebellion and the emergence the hope of humanity. Who needs to destroy the monsters or be destroyed (or enslaved) by them.
Because it is an animation of the 1980s we are at the end of the cold war, which evolves the power struggle between the West and the USSR and their weapons, the grandmother of the monsters.
The creatures inhabit the underground and are subjected to small openings in the earth's crust to invade us. Nuclear weapons are a strategy for monsters to destroy the earth's crust and invade our world.
After the film was developed a series showing the return of the Inumanoids, some people understood that these creatures can be used for their purposes, destruction harms many, but benefits some.
I remember the strong political content of this animation, it was one of those cartoons that I watched drawing that was different from other productions. Despite the obvious Manichaeism Inumanoids presented a game of interests, where sometimes humans could be much worse than creatures.

The Inumanoids

In a drawing of monsters what really matters are the creatures, let's remember the main trio and other weird pets that appeared there.

Metlar

The devil of the drawing, the most evil and powerful of the Inumanoids lives in the center of the earth, surrounded by the burning magma. Your servants are reanimated statues. Just like that to survive the heat.
Leader of the monsters, this one was imposed by force, always being alert to a coup d'etat by his comrades, which did not come only by fear. To rule the world they needed each other, which kept an alliance on.
Fire dwelling creature has magnetism as its weak point, one of the humans suggests that it can be weakened by water.
During the series we found out that Metlar was responsible for inciting inumanoids in the past into a war that resulted in the imprisonment of creatures - this story is revealed in episode 12.

D´compose

Basically an Inumanoid zombie, his dinosaur head and his chest showing are his trademarks. Answer honestly is it possible to dislike a dinosaur-headed zombie monster? Don't answer yet, he trapped his fangs inside his chest where we could see his despair through the bones. And you thinking that Summoning Evil was sinister.
D´Compose can turn any human into a zombie monster, so hit him with your claw, fortunately the process is reversible, just expose the poor thing to sunlight - that's the monster's main weakness. In other words besides zombie he is also vampire.
The creature commands an army of the undead and inhabits an underground location near the surface, we deduce this from the number of times humans meet him.

Tendril

Visibly inspired by Cthulhu, H.P. Lovecraft's most celebrated creation, he already makes tendril a rather likeable animal. He is basically a plant monster.
Practically immortal the creature can regenerate any part of its body, including creating new monsters, depending on the size of the severed limb.
Despite being very powerful he is not very intelligent, which proves to be his weak point. Tendril is easily driven by emotions, easily fooled and manipulated.

Sslither

The first leader of the Inumanoids, deposed by Metlar, is a gignesque reptile with magnetic powers. He was asleep much of the animation until he was awakened as an attempt to contain the other monsters that had laid him down in the past.

Gargoyle

A cyclops creature, with a transparent stomach that only feeds, can even eat other inumanoids. Discovered by humans in an ancient legend was awakened to increase the powers of humans.
Used to defeat the other inumanoids, it proves to be very powerful, manipulated by power seekers, proves to be an even greater threat. It has human intentions behind it. Another creature for whom she had a great deal of sympathy.

A little of history

Inumanoids is the result of a partnership between Hasbro and Marvel, developed from a toy line: yes, most of the 1980s designs were produced from an existing toy line, hasbro is the same producer of He-Man, Transformers and Commands in Action.
Currently purchased the Power Rangers franchise.
The current strategy continues to be the vast majority of Super Sentais and Marvel movies are giant commercials.
The partnership yielded an animated feature and a series of 13 episodes (many old cartoons had a small amount of deepisodes, as they were reproduced to exhaustion around here seemed larger). Shown in the USA on Saturday mornings, the most traditional cartoon show time once a week took up a quarter of a year, enough time for Hasbro to profit.
In addition to the 13 episodes Inumanoids has won a comic book series published by Marvel and a toy line. Unfortunately, I don't like it here. I would love to have a monster among my toys.
Inumanoids was aired in the US between September 21 and December 14, 1986, while SBT was aired for a few years.
As a final curiosity Inumanoids was animated by Toie animation, employs Japanese responsible for Zodiac Knights, Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon among outors.
